Ash Marrow wasn’t born with stage lights in his blood—he was born in the basement of a peeling Victorian home on the forgotten side of Cincinnati. Born Elias Hawthorne Marrow, he was raised in a fractured evangelical household where silence was holy and music was rebellion. His mother died of an overdose when he was twelve. He formed Dead Rituals in 2015 with a Craigslist drummer, a graveyard shift bassist, and a guitarist he met stealing cigarettes outside a 24-hour laundromat.
